Top 5 Super Bowl Commercials of 2012

By now, most people have gotten a chance to see the note worthy super bowl ads for this years Super Bowl. I’m putting together a quick list of, what I think, the top 5 for this year.

5) Toyota’s “Reinvented”
Thought it was funny/different than most commercials. Stood out because it was the lighter side of ads. Also had a good sense of humor to it. Not sure what they reinvented about their car, but I’d sure like some of those other inventions.

4) Bridgestone “Performance Basketball”
This to me was brilliant. They had another one with football instead of basketball found here. They definitely funny and connected with us on a sports level while still promoting their product.

3) Chevy’s “Look’s Like We Made It”
Also another brilliant idea. Tying together the idea of Armageddon in 2012 with their claims as being the most dependable vehicle was genius. They also made a light hearted, competitive stab at Ford for good fun (which I hear they are not happy about).

2) E-Trade’s “Fatherhood”
E-Trade has had some very memorable commercials in the past, and here’s another one to ad to the list. They always seem to take a very random topic and relate it back to E-Trade.

And the winner is…

1) Chrysler’s “It’s Halftime, America”
Going with the same theme as they did last year, Chrysler takes another risky approach. Instead of focusing on their product, they focused on personal emotions. This one can really hit home for some people with the down turn in the economy. But what a great motivational speech by Clint Eastwood. Also take a look at last years ad here featuring Eminem that goes with the same ‘Imported From Detroit; idea.

What do you think was the best super bowl ad this year?
