St. Patrick’s Day and March Madness All in Newtown, PA

Are you thinking about the luck of the Irish?? Do you have a taste for Irish potatoes, corn beef and cabbage, maybe a Guinness or even a bit of Jamison Whiskey? How about a weekend of Irish dance, entertainment, and family fun? Maybe you love the whole of March madness basketball as it coincides and smacks right into St. Patrick’s Day! All of this family fun and holiday spirit can be found in Newtown’s very own Green Parrot. This is a full three-day event starting Friday, March 16th and rounding out the weekend on Sunday March 18th.

The Green Parrot is Newtown’s premier Irish Pub, and they have
brought the party and fun to St. Patrick’s Day with the bonus of March Madness Basketball to a weekend filled with fun and entertainment. They have closed down Silo Street and adorned it with tents for a festive party atmosphere. Tents, dancers, bands, food and fun await the all-new expanded family fueled events.

They are not only celebrating the St. Patrick’s Day holiday,
but they also will have the NCAA Basketball Package running in the sports bar on
all of their TVs. The basketball enthusiast will love the comfort of the inside sport bar with the flavor of the Irish holiday going on around them. You can enjoy the second and third rounds of March Madness and all the nonstop action while enjoying the festive holiday.

The Green Parrot has added two outside bars which will be
under tents on Silo Street where you can have your food, and beverages brought
out to you as you listen to great Irish music and watch the dancers in native
Irish attire dancing to the best of Irish music. There will be a full Irish Menu to choose from, including favorites like; corn beef and cabbage, Irish Potatoes, Potato Soup, Danish and all things Irish. You can enjoy the day long into the night with a weekend jam-packed with entertainment.

The three-day event is sponsored by Jamison Whiskey and Guinness
Beer. This is a family-oriented event, featuring multiple troopers of Irish dancers, several bands and a ton of Irish, fair and fancy. They begin on Friday at seven am with Irish Potatoes and Danish for the early-morning movers. They will continue throughout the day with many of your favorites from Ireland. This is the perfect place for anyone who loves the St. Patrick’s Day holiday and the action of Mach Madness Basketball.
