The days until Christmas,
Are counting down fast,
It seems like it approaches
And then it is past.
We wouldn’t have Christmas,
If it wasn’t for Jesus,
Being born in the end of
December,
But it seems, evermore
With the gifts and presents we get
That Jesus is very easy for
People to forget,
… and not to remember.
Yes, Santa Claus gets much more
Attention than he,
Even though,
If it weren’t for Jesus,
Santa just would not be,
For if there were no Jesus,
Santa wouldn’t have to compete,
With a un-biblical version
Of mans lucky fate.
So pile all your gifts
Under your green Christmas tree,
All wrapped and all tidy
Presents from Santa Claus,
Notes you see,
And take just one moment to pause,
Yes.
Just remember:
Jesus is the whole reason for the season
At least it is, for me.
