Really? Gurus?

In the world of Internet Marketing there are those who make absolutely nothing, and those who make reportedly millions. The so called Gurus. What sets them apart from one another? Is it a set of ethics? Is it know how? Luck? The only people that know the true answer are probably the people with all the money. In the past few months there have been a number of product launches with the sales copy bashing the gurus . Each new product claims that you will get even with the guys that prey on the newbie, stealing your money. However all of these product launches are from the guru’s themselves trying to befriend the poor broke guy looking for a break. All of the new launches seem to be some sort of software, claiming some secret loophole or “7 clicks” stealing traffic. I’ve even bought something from one of them. They told me they’re software made them $140,000 a month. I signed up and shortly after I got into the members area I received another email from them promoting someone else’s software. If theirs is so good why are they promoting something else? It was so obvious and blatant I couldn’t believe it. Most of these software launches aren’t really software and nearly all of them don’t work. There is no such thing as software that generates traffic for you. If there was they certainly wouldn’t sell it, and if they did it wouldn’t cost $37. And that brings up another point, how come you pay for something and they come back with “thanks for buying xxx but it won’t work unless you pay me another $197 and $47 a month”. And even with that it still wouldn’t work.
The offers are getting crappier and the amount of guys spamming their lists is growing. I have one guy that I stay subscribed to because the amount of emails he sends is comical. I get about 8 offers a day from him, every day. Mostly different things, but a lot the same. He only has one list to, that’s how often he hits everyone up.
I’m not sure if anyone with ethics has any knowledge of how to make money on the net. If they did why wouldn’t one person help one person, who would help one person and so on? If the internet is a six billion dollar a year business and growing adding 15-20 people a year wouldn’t hurt anyone’s bottom line.
I’m trying to think of ways to make money, thinking “outside the box”. I was thinking that I could put my paypal account in this post and have everyone send me a buck (gmcjunk@gmail if you want to give it a whirl), but I think that’s illegal. I also thought about buying a email list of 50,000,000 people and doing the same thing, again probably illegal , but I bet I’d make $10.
Anyway what I think I’m going to do is put offers in a blog or on my website. Not work off a list. If someone needs something they can come to me and check if I have something that fits the bill. If not they can put a suggestion in. I’m not going to promote anything that has anything to do with making money on the web. Too many shady Gurus already doing that.
I also implore you when you request a refund because the product sucks, make sure you comment something like “I cant believe your able to sleep at night putting this junk out.” If enough people do that maybe folks like clickbank will update their quality control and make these IM Gurus offer something of value, because anyone can go find free stuff from an offer 4 years ago and put a pretty ribbon on it and call it the next best thing.
