Irish Pubs in the Rogue Valley Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

A number of popular Irish Pubs in the Rogue Valley entertain patrons with authentic Irish atmosphere all year long, but in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, there will be some special celebrations.

In Medford Shenanigan’s, Chadwick’s Pub in the Rogue Regency and the Four Daughters Irish Pub are all popular choices, but on St. Patrick’s Day, the Four Daughters is the place to really celebrate. The historic building at 126 West Main Street in Old Town Medford has gone through several renovations since it was built in 1907, according to the history on Old Town Medford.com. Each renovation has retained the original flavor of the building and Four Daughters has the rich wood and original brick walls to give it a comfortable ambiance for enjoying the Irish brews and authentic Irish Menu. See the picture gallery on Four Daughter’s web site for a close up view of what awaits you.

On St. Patrick’s Day the menu will feature the traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage as well as other Irish dishes. There will be entertainment with live Irish Music all day, including the traditional Clog dancers. T-shirts, hats, gift certificates and especially created drink specials will enliven the day. At 10:00 pm the Kareoke show will wind up the evening.

O’Ryan’s Irish Pub in Ashland plans for the usual Irish fare.

An exciting special treat for Ashland is Paddy Brannan’s Irish Pub which is staging at street fair on 2nd Street! Traffic will be rerouted and Paddy Brannan’s will be presenting live Irish music, all the large selection of draft brews and a special Irish menu to the public. The music will start at noon and feature such local favorites as the Carr Family, Jug of Punch, Local Drone and Circlin’ Shannon.

Owner Tysin Senestraro says, “We are just a wee Irish Pub and we did not want to turn away anyone who wants to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us, so it seemed the right thing was to turn it into a street festival!”

If you really want to celebrate, be sure to take in the Irish activities in both communities!
