Happy Birthday Brad Pitt! Is 2011 the Best Year Ever for the Hunky Celeb Dad?

Happy Birthday Brad Pitt! The toned father of six kids celebrated his 48th birthday on December 18 and the star had plenty to celebrate. Let’s see what the “Moneyball” actor has been up to this year.

As of last week the Golden Globes nominated Pitt for Best Actor earning him a nod for his performance as baseball manager Billy Beane in the 2011 heartwarming film “Moneyball.” We’ll find out January 15 if the actor won his nomination but according to the critics, this is one role that Pitt shined in.

The New York Times wrote that “it’s hard to imagine anyone but Mr. Pitt in the role.” Owen Gleiberman from Entertainment Weekly praised Pitt for giving the character a “deep river of self-doubt.”

“Moneyball” might be his most recent film of 2011 but it appears the actor has been hard at work. In 2012 he’ll star in three major movies including “World War Z,” “Cogan’s Trade,” and as the narrator of “Voyage of Time.”

If that isn’t enough he already has his sights set on 2013 where he’s already scheduled to play “Twelve Years a Slave” directed by Steve McQueen about a man living in New York during the mid-1800s who is kidnapped and sold into slavery in the deep south. Hmm…do we see an Oscar in Brad’s future for that role?

In late October Brad won big as the male celeb with the hottest body. He earned the nomination next to his ex-wife Jen Aniston who won female celeb with the hottest body. The two were also picked as the “Most Fit Over 40.”

Although Pitt seems to be having a killer year in 2011, that didn’t stop him from obsessing over his failed marriage with Aniston. The actor was criticized for talking badly about Jen during an interview saying his marriage to her made him feel pathetic.

“It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself,” he continued to say.

Is 2011 the best year ever for Brad Pitt?
