A Definite Possibility

“I felt like a total celebrity! ” Livvy exclaimed. as she and Kendra left H&M. “I was wearing this half shirt, ya know, and it was black lace and you could see through it…and underneath I had my black lace bra…”

Her voice trailed off as they reached the exit doors, Kendra pulled out her keys. “Wanna go out later?” she asked.

:Nah, I’m on for effin’ babysitting the brothers tonight.”

Neither girl saw him as he stood ten feet away, listening. He glanced their way with a half-smile and caught Livvy’s eye. “How ya doin’ tonight?” he asked, nodding.

“Fine,” Kendra snapped, tugging Livvy’s purse as a signal to get going. “Loser,” she muttered.

Livvy hung back as Kendra strode toward the parked cars, flashing a smile. Her bleached jeans hugged her hips and firm ass as she followed Kendra and climbed into her blue Civic.

It was after ten when the doorbell rang. Livvy’s twin brothers were sound asleep, and she was engrossed in reruns of America’s Next Top Model. The contestants strutted the runway in dresses made of burlap sacks and were awaiting tough feedback from Tyra. LIvvy jumped off the sofa and headed down the hall, hoping for a diversion that would add a bit more interest to the night,

When Livvy opened the front door, she caught her breath. It wasn’t Kendra, or any of her other school friends. Instead, she recognized the grin of the guy from the mall.

“Hey there.”

Livvy replied with a halting “Uhhhh….Hi. Do I know you?”

“Well I hope to think you will soon….glad you’re not busy tonight.”

How did he know she wasn’t busy? Ha! Her outfit of baggy sweats and a Sponge Bob T shirt told the story, not to mention the handful of popcorn that she still clutched in her right hand.

“Well, I’m not exactly free…my little brothers are upstairs.”

“That’s okay. Name’s Rob. Maybe we could just sit out on the porch for a while and get acquainted. Gotta say, girl, you caught my eye earlier today.”

“Well thanks…I’m, uh, LIvvy.” She closed the door gently behind her and took a seat next to Rob on the porch steps. Heavy clouds almost covered the sliver of “smile moon” overhead.

“So how’d you find my house?” Livvy asked as Rob lit a cigarette.

“Nice car you’ve got there. Don’t worry, I’m not a stalker or any of that shit. Just saw something I liked and decided to pursue it a little further if I could….so headed out of the mall right behind you and your friend.”

“Oh yeah, Kendra….” Livvy’s voice trailed off. Her interest was piqued by this older guy – he must be what? 23 or 24? A definite possibility. Not bad looking either, with his stubble of beard and close-cropped hair. And that grin.

“So hey, I got a few beers out in the car. Interested?”

“Sure.”

Rob strode out to the curb. Livvy watched his silhouette as he leaned into the car and pulled out a six pack. His jeans fit just right when he bent forward. Yeah, a definite possibility. Maybe this night wasn’t a total loss after all. When Rob returned to the porch, she flashed a smile of her own. “Hey, I’m getting cold. Let’s go in, ‘kay?”

“Up to you, princess.”

Livvy stood and led Rob toward the front door. “After you,” he said with an overstated gallantry, holding the door.

Rob followed LIvvy in and closed the door behind him. He eased the deadbolt to the right as Livvy headed into the living room, where the TV was still on.

“I really need to run upstairs and check on the boys,” said LIvvy as she turned.

It was then that she saw it. The bade gleamed silver and reflected dancing light from the television screen. Tyra’s voice roared in Livvy’s ears as she took it in.

“I’ll come with you, princess.”
