Essay on the B-Word and why I am one.?
Q: The B WordPeople use other ways to get around saying it. The B-word. A word that rhymes with ‘witch’, like that’s clever. Bitch is frequently used as a term for a malicious, spiteful, domineering, intrusive, or unpleasant person, especially a woman. It is a word with negative connotations, but it’s generally accepted in society, even to the point that it is uncensored on t.v. Or the radio. Bitch is a word we use culturally to describe a woman who is strong, angry, uncompromising and, often, uninterested in pleasing men. We use it for the woman who has a better job than a man and doesn’t apologize for it. We use it for the woman who doesn’t back down from a confrontation. It’s used for a female teacher who doesn’t let you get your way, or the woman who cuts you off on the highway. There are so many different reasons why I have been called a bitch. Being unwilling to give a seat of a friend to a girl with an ego bigger than Brazil. For stepping in when the boys in my Spanish class think they can trash talk a girl who’s too timid to say anything. For not partaking in the social merry-go-round. I am all those things that you’re mother told you to stay away from. I’m spiteful to idiots, malicious to people who can tango with me in the bitch department, and I routinely stick my nose where you may not think it belongs. Too bad, if I can hear you, it’s now my business. I am a bitch to the point that three people have been kicked off our table for trash talking. No, they didn’t have to leave, I just encouraged them to do so with a few strong words. They’re okay with trash talking people when they’re not there to say anything about it, but when someone says something about it they get a bit upset. Sorry, ladies, if I know them, they’re off limits. When the ringleader said to one of my friends, “She’s a bitch!”, she was met with a resounding, ‘duh!’ from my table mates.I am a bitch all the time. When people say, “You’re being a bitch,” I say, “No, I’m not ‘being’ anything. This isn’t a part time gig. This is an integral part of me.”If you think I’m saving this so-called bitchiness for you, or you want to try and say I hate you, no, I don’t. I’m a bitch with my friends, I’m a bitch to acquaintances. I am only nice to people I don’t know yet. But that rule is dropped the second I hear something I don’t like.Because I’m a bitch I get away with saying things because people have this expectation that I am, as I’ve been told by a few people, “A bull-dyke”, a man hating, aggressive, unfeminine woman who will play the boys games the boy’s way. Things that would be accepted if they were said by a boy are considered shocking when they come from me. People say guys and girls think differently. No, they think the same, boy’s just make more noise about being able to do it without any connotations. So here’s a news flash for the uninitiated. I am queen bitch. I will not lay down for you. I am taking back the word bitch and making it my own. It is not something negative if you say it to me, it is considered a compliment. Because obviously if you take the time to try to fight with me, try to shove my opinions back down my throat, try to make me shut-up and be quiet because I’m being too aggressive or domineering, well, I think that means I’m saying something true, something you’re frightened to hear. What do you think? About anything, the writing, subject matter…it’s all okay, even if you disagree with me.
A: i love the topic in general, lol. is this like a legit paper or just something you did on your own free time? either way i like it. it’s very true and sarcastic, especially the part @ the very end about how ppl try to shove your opinions back down your throat b/c they know your right.
What rhymes with the word “stand”?
Q: I need words that rhyme with the word “stand”. I need real words, not made-up words. They don’t have to be exact rhyme either. It could be, but it doesn’t have to be. (Example: Day and Say or This and Exist). I just need help. I came up with a few but none of them work.
