Too Much – Too Soon to Go Insane

She cannot stop to feel the pain,

Expressed by tears that soot her skin,

Too much – too soon to go insane.

So, now the gladness would not deign,

Or raise her up above the sin,

She cannot stop to feel the pain.

The numbness she wants to refrain,

Is all but lost to never win,

Too much – too soon to go insane.

And soon she longs to be arcane,

Dissolved by faith from deep within,

She cannot stop to feel the pain.

A newer face she tries to feign,

With efforts lost to hatred’s twin,

Too much – too soon to go insane.

Her memories will thus remain,

Her story goes but can’t begin,

She cannot stop to feel the pain,

Too much – too soon to go insane.
