Wet n Wild has recently improved its eyeshadows so much, and because I recently ran out of my highlighting eyeshadow, I decided to pick up this one because it was on sale at Walgreens.
It comes in the standard Wet n Wild black and clear packaging and is a rectangular pan with the embossed Wet n Wild eyeshadow design. It snaps closed easily. The packaging is made out of plastic but feels suitably sturdy, not cheap. The packaging is just about the size of the pan, which makes it space efficient but also very easy to lose if you don’t keep track of this product.
Brulee is a creamy, off white matte highlighting color. This sort of color has always been a perfect highlighting color for me because I like to pair it with shimmery shadows on the lid so that the eyeshadow I’m wearing looks more balanced in terms of texture. It will be a perfect highlighting shade on the browbone and in the inner corner, as well as possibly a lid color for those with light and medium skin. It may be a wonderful lid color for those with light or fair skin. I would not recommend this color for those with darker skin tones, as matte light highlight colors can sometimes look ashy on the skin. I would recommend shimmery shades over matte shades.
This color is really pigmented. I love that it will actually show up on your skin, which is especially hard to see in matte light colors. There is no need to pack on this color. It will apply easily and show up well. It instantly brightens the eye area without drawing too much attention. The texture of this eyeshadow is really creamy. Unlike a lot of cheaper eyeshadows, it has little fallout and does not crumble in the pan, which can waste a ton of product. This eyeshadow definitely has a very smooth texture.
Overall, I would really recommend this product. It is a great highlight color and a great quality eyeshadow. Normally, it retails for $2 but is sometimes on sale. Please check out this color if you are currently looking for a good highlight color!
