Hoffa Declares “war”, Tea Party Get Ready for a Fight

On Monday, Jimmy Hoffa (no, not his dad) declared that it was time to “take them out,” referring to Tea Party supporters and candidates who, in his mind, have “made war on the worker.” In his warm up speech before President Obama on Labor Day, Teamsters president Hoffa stated that there is a war going on against workers and that war is led by the Tea Party ranting on that those in attendance needed to rally behind the president as his “army.” Hoffa’s comments are just another in a long line of violent rhetoric focused towards those in the Tea Party from the left who have obviously run out of legitimate arguments.

Typically, when someone can no longer argue about the principle of the matter, their only recourse is to attack the individual personally, and we have seen this from the beginning of the Tea Party movement. Who can argue with Americans getting together and peacefully speaking out against a matter they feel strongly about? Who can argue with Americans wanting to hold government accountable for their actions? Who can argue with Americans speaking out against a government that is out of control in its spending, exercise of power, and personal gain? Only those who have an interest in the establishment can.

Big government leftists and the majority of Democrats have taken the Tea Party as a personal attack ever since the first mention of sending tea bags to the White House in demonstration of proposed tax increases and more government control, but why would they think this way? They think this way because they take personally that the Tea Party attacks what they have too long made their “bread and butter,” and that is big government and trying to convince Americans that what they need is the government taking care of them. How can they take care of them? By increasing taxes and governmental spending.

Tea Party opposition knows that when Americans organize and start paying attention that that means bad news for them. When Americans pay attention to what government is doing, they can no longer hide behind their smoke and mirrors. Unfortunately for them, the jig is up. The winds of change have blown in, the smoke is gone, and the mirrors and their illusionists have been seen for what they are. Americans are waking up and calling for accountability and clarity from those it elects to represent it.

Hoffa knows that when those in government are exposed, eventually they will be exposed too since they help elect these people into office. Hoffa knows that he must join in the defense of the status quo, or he too, will find himself exposed for his own greed and selfish desire to keep the smoke and mirrors in place. Unfortunately, he knows that the principle is just, and therefore, must try to put the attack about individuals and not about the issues, that being big government and uncontrolled spending.

This happens on both sides of the aisle but so far, most of the rhetoric comes from the left. I would imagine that before it is all over, more on the other side would follow suit with John McCain. Tea Party members do not lose heart, do not give in, and continue to stand in the fight and hold on to the principle of holding our leaders accountable to America and not their own party or agenda.
