Armie Hammer Arrested for Pot Possession – Other Stars in Similar Situations

In November Armie Hammer, best known for his roles in “The Social Network” and “J. Edgar,” was arrested in Sierra Blanca, TX for possession of marijuana. Cops found three pot cookies and one pot brownie on him in the same town where Willy Nelson and Snoop Dogg were also busted. The actor has less than .02 ounces of marijuana on him, so he paid a fine and went on his way. Hammer isn’t the only star to find himself in this situation.

Chace Crawford
was arrested in Plano, TX in 2010 for possession of marijuana. He had less than two ounces on his person, so the Gossip Girl star was able to clear his record after one year of good behavior.

In 2003 “American Idol” contestant Bo Bice was arrested in Huntsville, AL for possession of marijuana and cocaine as well. Just like Crawford he kept his nose clean and had the violations removed from his permanent record.

Orlando Brown
is one of the most unlikely “criminals” on the list. The Disney star, also known as Eddie on “That’s So Raven,” was arrested in 2007 when cops pulled him over in Houston, TX. for driving without headlights on. Brown told reporters that the marijuana found in the driver’s door was not his, but belonged to the owner of the car.

Popstar Aaron Carter was arrested in Kimble County, TX in 2008 for a routine traffic violation. When cops searched his car they found over two ounces of marijuana in the vehicle. Carter was kept over night and released.

Antoine Dodson became an Internet sensation after a local news story went viral. The Gregory Brothers auto-tuned his family’s interview, launching the song into the iTunes top 100. In April 2011 the Internet star was arrested at his home for marijuana possession after failing to appear in court for a traffic violation.

Perhaps the most shocking celeb booking follows a sting operation in Phoenix, AZ in December 2011. Cops were tipped that Jermaine “Huggy” Hopkins from 1989’s “Lean on Me” was trafficking and selling marijuana. The cops managed to nab him when he tried to buy 200 pounds of marijuana from them for $100,000. In his apartment they found an additional 100 pounds worth $50,000.
