Is marijuana an addictive drug?
Q: This question sounds stupid and I’m a bit embarrassed to ask it, but I never hear of people being addicted to marijuana like they are to smoking, drinking, porn, other drugs, etc.I never hear of people having to go to interventions or anything for marijuana smoking.
A: You never hear of stoners being addicted because like most addicts they do not believe that they are. The simple fact is that the active agent that causes the high is addictive and will remain in your system stored in body fat for days to years after wards. Granted that most people do not undergo the same type of withdrawl as with other drugs but it still does plenty of damage. Most people consider marijuana a harmless herb that they have control over and that it is not a “real drug”. Let me ask you this… How many stoners can say that they can write in complete sentences after prolonged use? How many have the attention span to hold down a real job? How many can go an hour without using the term “DUDE” or whatever is ppopular now?Sounds kind of harsh, but DUDE don’t be fooled by fools.

Q: I tried to quit 6 or 7 times be for and i always smoke weed again with-in about 1 day or 2. when i don’t smoke weed i cant sleep , i cant poop, i don’t eat much and im anxious as hell. how quit your drug.
A: You just have to cold turkey it. How in the world are you smoking within a day or two if you don’t have any around 😉 ? That’s just it. To quit, you can’t have it around. You’ll forget about it in a couple of months, but you have to give it a little time at least.
Do you believe marijuana to be a more harmful and addictive drug than alcohol?
Q: If so, should alcohol be illegal or should cannabis be decriminalized?
A: Ginny: You didn’t have a cousin that ODed on marijuana. It is not possible to overdose on marijuana. Taken from the link I will post below:”At present it is estimated that marijuana’s LD-50 is around1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman terms this means that in order to inducedeath a marijuana smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times asmuch marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette. NIDA-suppliedmarijuana cigarettes weigh approximately .9 grams. A smoker wouldtheoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana withinabout fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response.”So don’t come on here telling people how it’s harmful when it is not. In addition, it doesn’t matter what your body chemistry is, that doesn’t make a substance have more or less addictive properties, however it can make you more or less prone to being addicted to an addictive substance. To answer the question, alcohol is clearly the more harmful substance. There are no deaths directly linked to marijuana. Alcohol kill thousands every year and it’s addicting.Cannabis should most definitely be legalized. Legalizing would be a more effective way to control marijuana.
