Are pickled eggs good for you? Eggs are healthy but is it good to eat a lot of pickled things?
Q: I’m trying to gain weight and thought pickled eggs might be a good solution as they are easy to reach for as a protein snack. Just not too sure about the pickled part- don’t want to pickle my insides! Does the pickling change the nutritional properties? Basically- is it healthy to consume a large amount of pickled foods every day? Thank you.
A: Dude, that is so gross. Do you even know how long that jar has been at the store? You are probably the only person to buy a jar in a year. I remember when the grocery stores were all on strike a few years ago and in the fridge case they had to make the shelves look full with tons of pickled eggs. Blegh! What you could do is hard boil 6 or 12 eggs on Sunday or Monday and keep those in the fridge to munch on. They should keep a week if you keep them cold.
We have chickens at home to lay eggs, is there any sites that show what a healthy egg looks like?
