How do you know if you are having a miscarriage?
Q: Is it similar to just having your period?I am wondering because i am on the pill, and my periods are always regular, except for this one, i was about 4 days late, then i only bled for two, then one week later i have begun bleeding again, and this has lasted five days.I never experience cramps, but i am at the moment, and my tummy is really bloated.I dont know what it is, if it is a miscarriage, or if i am pregnant? but why am i bleeding if i am?Please give me some advice.Oh and also, i have been feeling sick in the mornings.
A: i am not sure about being pregnant or not, but the symptoms together do not sound too good…i really think you should see a doctor.if you are having a miscarriage, the doctor needs to check you over to make sure all comes out ok or you could get very sick.i had a miscarriage and it only felt like strong menstrual cramps.
what happens when someone is having a miscarriage at 3 weeks?
Q: i know you bleed and pass clots depending on how serious it is, but when you visit the doctor and he/she confirms that you ARE in fact having a miscarriage and it cannot be stopped , what is the next step….what does the doctor then do…do you do a D&C right away or do you get drugs to pass out whatever is remaining……when someone miscarries are they “loosing blood” and need meds to build back blood supply, e.g like iron tablets and such?
A: Most women will pass it all on their own like a regular(maybe slightly heavier than usual) period at this early of a stage of pregnancy. Are you really only three weeks in, because there is no Dr. I know of who will confirm a pregnancy when you haven’t even missed a period yet and are only three weeks in? Do you mean you found out three weeks ago?

Q: What happens and how do you know when you are having a miscarriage?
A: In an early miscarriage, bleeding is the first sign. If you don’t know you are pregnant though, and you bleed at the same time your period is due, you may not ever even know you had a miscarriage. Basically you won’t know you are having a miscarriage unless you know for sure that you are pregnant. I had a miscarriage at 4 weeks and would never have known if it weren’t for the fact that I had to be admitted to the hospital for low blood sugar. I was bleeding and assumed it was my period. I had a late term miscarriage about two months earlier and had gotten a positive pregnancy test, but thought (wrongly of course) that maybe the positive test was just left over hormones from my last pregnancy. (I now know that the pregnancy hormones don’t stay in your system that long!) At the hospital they performed serial hCGs and they were decreasing, which meant that not only was it a new pregnancy but I was having a miscarriage.
