Week 13 Fantasy Frustration

For years I have been trying to beat my friends and colleagues in fantasy football. There is nothing better than rubbing in a win to your opponets. For years I have been getting questions pregame. Here are some questions for week 13.

Question 1
With Michael Vick doubtful for Thursdays game in Seattle who do I start in his place: Vince Young, Ryan Fitzpatrick, or do I try to make a pick-up off the waiver?

Answer: The easy answer would be Vince Young, but I think he is going to have a rough game. Seattle’s defense is ranked 18th against the pass which is not the best. What is most important is the prepartation. The Eagles played a Sunday night game and then have a day of travel. I am not sure who made the schedule but how can a team prepare for a Thursday night game when the team has to travel across the country. Vince Young is coming off a 400 yard passing game against the worst pass defense and I believe he is going to force the ball a lot in this game. Also their number one healthy receiver, Desean Jackson, is having a terrible year with his head out of the game. Unfortunately I would say go with Fitzpatrick. The Buffalo Bills are also a mess with their receivers dropping balls and creating penalties, but Fitzpatrick should get at least 200yds passing and a touchdown against the Titans.

Question 2
With Miles Austin anticipating a return this weekend and Laurent Robinson scoring all the touchdowns should I bench Dez Bryant?

Answer: The Dallas Cowboys are also loaded with Demarco Murray and Jason Witten. Arizonia has a terrible pass defense and they seem to give up a lot. Demarco Murray should have a strong performance in the game, but I also believe Dez Bryant should have at least 80-90 yards receiving. With a hamstring injury and a non-division rival I would doubt the Cowboys to push Miles Austin when they are at the top of their division.

Question 3
Is it worth starting Santonio Holmes this week against the Redskins?
Answer: No. Santonio Homes has only two games 70 yards or more and five touchdowns for the year. The Jets are playing the Redskins and Mark Sanchez only put up one good fantasy game on the road.

Question 4
Who is going to be the best starting running back this week?

Answer: It is not Arian Foster who is a beast. The only reason he is not the number 1 for the week is the mounting injury at quarterback in Houston. I would rank them like this Chris Johnson, Demarco Murray, Ray RIce, LeGarrette Blount. Chris Johnson is going to keep it rolling in Buffalo. Buffalo’s defense has been falling apart as of lately and I believe Chris Johnson is starting to get his legs moving. The Titans are starting to lean on Johnson a little more so I am assuming the team has patched up their issues. Murray and Blount should get a lot of rushing yards and Rice will be the foundation of the Baltimore offense.

Question 5
Is Calson Palmer, the Oakland Raiders quarterback, going to have a huge game against Miami?

Anwer: Palmer is not going to have a huge game. Miami’s defense has been more aggressive. Palmer will have a descent game. Michael Bush will be getting a lot of touches there also. I think Palmer will probably have 250 yards a touchdown and an interception or two.

Every week there are hard choices to make, good luck.
