Blood Type Can Impact Your Health

Through decades of research and clinical work, Dr. D’Adamo created the Blood Type Diet. The recommendations for a way of living and eating revolutionized how we look at health.

The diet is based on the idea that a person’s blood type determines a person’s susceptibility or immunity over a disease. These discoveries, as Dr. D’Adamo believes, explain why some people can lose weight and gain benefits from one diet while others do not.

The statistics appear to prove the benefits. In a study of following 6617 individuals for one month following the diet recommendations, 3 out or 4 people gained a significant improvement in their health conditions.

The diet is focused on the four main blood types: A, B, AB, and O. Each of these different blood types have different biochemical characteristics and therefore cause the body to metabolize food and react to environments differently.

People with Type O blood tend to be healthiest with regular exercise and diets focused on animal proteins. Type As are naturally suited for a vegetarian diet. Type Bs do best with moderate aerobic exercise. Type ABs should balance their exercise and diet recommendations of the Type As and Type Bs.

Each of the recommendations for the types provided include a focus on methods to follow in terms of diet, stress management, exercise, and daily lifestyle.
