Q: My 8 year old boy was just diagnosis yesterday with having severe ADHD and i was totally against puttin him on meds at first but it seems that his attention spam is getting shorter and his hyper activeness is getting worse so i don’t really have much of a choice!!I talked it over with the ped and decided to put him on Ritalin!!!HE has only taken 3 pills yet but it seems that he is more hper now that before…i was wondering if that is normal until the pills adjust to his system and should i consult the ped about this….if anyone elses children are experiencing that same problems can you please let me know any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Also my room just got painted & I was in there for a while & the room smelled like wet paint, could this be the problem. I also take Pills for ADD/ADHD, could the pills have any side affects like this, I’ve been taking it for 6 months now. I weigh 122.2 pounds, I’m 13 years old, & i’m not overweight. A: was your hand bent a way to restrict blood flow?were you laying on it? was it held up or down too long?sometimes hands fall asleep from blood flow being restricted.Now as for a sign of a stroke was your arm also numb, was your face numb, do you notice any facial paralysis today, did you have a headache, any loss of vision before the hand went numb? If not it is probably not a stroke, have not heard of only a numb hand.If it happens again then I would be more concerned and maybe bring it up to your parent or at your next appointment.
