Q: My hubby cooked chicken. Most of it was cooked but while I was eating I noticed there was a spot that was not cooked all the way. I am 11 weeks and 6 days pregnant so I am worrying that I could get salmonella or ecoli poisoning. I didn’t eat it when I realized it was not cooked but I am worried because I did eat a little of it. A: I don’t know what you would experience but I feel like a tiny bit of a slightly undercooked meat isn’t going to be detremental I understand the concern I am on my second child about eight years apart so I am just like I was with my first maybe you all should get a meat thermometer. I freaked out over less appropriate issues so do not feel as if this is an irrelevent question maybe if you call the er they can at least tell you wheather it would be advisable to try to vomit it up or something maybe you should it may make you feel better and sleep better tonight but I know the effects of vomiting are disturbing too sorry sooo long good luck dear!!

Q: I’m an extreme sports guru. Especially when it comes to white water rafting. Is it okay to do while pregnant? I’m almost 19 weeks along and I am very experienced. What other sports are okay to continue? I’m in the middle of getting my health care changed so I do not have a particular doctor to speak to on it.

A: My doctor told me that I could continue to do any and all physical activity that I normally did including lifting until I felt it was no longer safe to do. I worked in a nursing home lifting patients until my 8th month of pregnancy, stayed active during both pregnancys, both of my kids turned out well, but do please make sure to take your prenatal vitamins every day, and intaking extra calcium is important too!!!
