I have this really bad fear and i want to get rid of it? how?

Q: I have a phobia for mascot, and peopl in costumes,i know crazy. but it’s true. everytime i get near one, or one stands up and looks i get a panic attack and run away. i want to love them but i can’t get to it. they just really scare me. bad news is, is that i am going to disney world in the summer and there are a lot of them there. what should i do? i really want to go to disney but their in my way.

A: i hate those mascots too. i just avoid them as much as i can and when i see them i just think to myself ‘why am i scared of someone stupid enough and pathetic enough to wear a costume almost all day?’ then i laugh at them i my head. lol

Q: Well the thing is that I have a doctor’s appointment to go to.The problem is that I’v made this same app…about 10 deffrent times.And cancled it 10 time’s.My reson for not going is because i’m to afraid to find out that there is something wrong with my body.In other word’s cancer.Does anyone have any advice on how I could get rid of my fear of going to the doctor’s office?

A: chances a GP will not have the answers you r looking for or prescribe the proper medication you might need to calm down…he will probably send you to a neurologist or psychiatrist for further testing …in the meantime ask him to at least give you something to relax ….

Q: When I was little, I had to go through several unnessesary porceedures, and had stuck with tons of needles. I’m terrified of them now. When I go to the doctors for anything but a shot, Just looking at the bins with the needles in it, I start shaking, and feelings sick. When I actually have to get a shot, I cry uncontrolably, tremble like crazy, Get dizzy/lightheaded, and can’t breathe. it’s not something I can just ‘suck up’. I tear up, and get lightheaded just thinking about them. The point is, I want to get my lip pierced, and for that I’d need to be over my fear. There is also the thing of, I’m going to have to get shots sooner or later, and I can’t with the fear. thanks.

I myself at the age of 50 now have always been afraid of needles, I realized this at age 18. It makes me light headed and I have to lay down after a blood draw. The reason I’ve heard is that the mind gets a signal that the body is losing blood therefore the heart slows and you feel feint. I found that the last time I had a blood draw I took a Xanax pill and felt more relaxed and did not feel like passing out, also I never ever look. Hope this helps:)
