A: Birth control is supposed to regulate your periods. If you were irregular with light periods, your body could be compensating by having a heavier flow to get rid of it. If you have been on the pill for one cycle, give it 3 packs. After that, if you are worried/annoyed by the heavy flow see your doctor for a different option.
