What is a furry, or person who considers themselves a furry?
Q: I just want to know what exactly is a furry? That is the people who consider themselves one, not the animals with human characteristics that are in some anime’s. What does it mean to be a furry. I know this can be a touchy subject, but you don’t need to worry about me being prejudiced or anything about it.
A: First of all you can find lots of information on wikipedia about this topic and its very accurate. defining a single person as a furry will change with each person you meet. there are different levels and scales of “Furriness” there are many different offshoots as well so ppl that that judge all furries the same are unjust.A furry can be:* Someone who dresses in animal costumes and sometimes attends conventions such as Anthrocon and FurMeet* Someone who is fond of anthromorphic animals* Someone who draws anthromorphic animals* someone who is a furry at heart* someone who roleplays as one, in this case their avatar is usually what they play as but they dont act as a furry in RL… and some still do too* there are the more darker taste furries that also “yiff” whether this be with animal suits or by artwork. And if you dont know what yiff is, simply is furry porn. As i said not so nice but not all furries are even remoted interested in this.* if you believe such thing as otherkin, some therians portray the animal spirit within them through the furry fandom.* some furrys are furry just cos they enjoy furry cartoons or comics or even books.Theres many different ways to be furry, some physical others not. Some distasteful and others quite accepting. I hope that helps you a bitAnd for the record a furry is a humanoid animal. This differs depending on how it is displayed. Whether thru artwork, an animal mascot costume or even virtual characters online. Most furries are often more human than animal, standing upright on hind legs, many, especially in art have hands and feet instead of paws (i prefer paws still) and also many where clothes. So a humanized animal would be the best description… Mmm and not all furries are the right colors. Eg, a blue cheetah with black spots or a black horse with a rainbow mane and tail.Furries can be any furry animal, bird and sometimes reptiles and dragons are considered furry however the common term for them now is a “Scalie”. They called it furries i assume cos there are a majority of furry animals in the fandom. Birds and griffins are sometimes called avians or avian furrys. And in the end under all this fur, we’re just ordinary people that have a passion for fur and animals 🙂

What brand is the healthiest dog food to buy?
Q: A majority of the time my dog has a little of what we eat, within reason, to go with her complete dried food, but occasionally I feed her with a ready made wet food. I have recently bought a brand which says it contains at least 60% meat, which made me think of what the others contain. I have looked at other brands (including the premium lines of the best sellers) and I am shocked to see they contain only an avarage of 4% meat!So I ask – what is the healthiest wet dog food out there?
A: Pedigree Chum my bum!!! It contains 4% of meat, so the rest is crap and water basically! As do all of the foods you can buy in the supermarket…I don’t know why they’re still legal, but they prey on the ignorant to keep them in business…so wise up, this is your dog we are talking about!!I feed my German Shepherd Nature Diet (www.naturediet.co.uk gives you info all about it). It’s about 80% meat, and the rest is rice and vegetables…it’s totally pure, steam cooked and I’d feel happy eating it. It’s not as cheap as the tinned crap, but why would it be?? If you care about your dog, you wouldn’t cut corners with their diets! The tinned crap can cause them to moult all year round, gain or lose weight unnecessarily, and give them behavioural difficulties. It’s no different from a child being fed McDonalds and sweets full of E numbers all the time…it would have a detrimental effect!Dried food is also good for your dog, because it helps their teeth, and can also help to stop any tummy problems, or runny poo’s etc…but I personally think it’s a bit unnatural and processed, so I only serve it as a “side order”, rather than a main meal. Would you eat dried chicken? I certainly wouldn’t. The best dried food I’ve come across is Hill’s Science Plan…it’s not cheap, but it’s mostly meat, and no artifical ingredients like many of the “highstreet” brands.
