what pain killers are OK to take?when preg?
Q: Im 6 weeks and i woke up with a killer headache (and morning sickness UGH) is there anything that is OK to take while pregnant, i have advil and IBprofin liquid gels at my house.
A: I took extra strength tylenol for the severe headaches I had during my 2nd pregnancy. I really did not experience morning sickness much during that pregnancy so I am not sure if the tylenol will bother your stomach. If you can eat something starchy (mashed potatoes, toast, etc) and then take the tylenol, it may keep the medicine from upsetting your stomach. Your doctor may have a good recommendation, so it is always a good idea to give him/her a call and discuss your situation with them.
TTC and just got a root canal is it ok to take Advil?
Q: Hi guys,I just finished taking my Clomid yesterday and I’ve already had three high levels on my Clearblue fertility monitor ( Sunday, I wasn’t required to test on Monday, then I got a high fertility level on Tuesday and then today). I haven’t reached the peak yet which is the third bar with the egg on the fertility monitor. So I am waiting on that. But any ways I got a root canal done today. And the anesthesia just wore off. And I took 2 Tylenol Rapid Release Gels 500 mg each. My doctor just called and wanted to check with me and I told him that I was in a little pain. I told him that I was trying to conceive and I didn’t want to take Advil even though it usually works for me. My OB/GYN told me to try and stay away from Advil while i’m trying to conceive and when I get pregnant.I just want to know what I should. I don’t want to hurt my chances of conceiving this month by using Advil. So do you think I should just stick with the Tylenol?
A: I would not take Advil if I were you just to be on the safe side. Stick with Tylenol! Good luck to you this month!!!
