Can HRT cause you to feel paranoid? I have recently been put on HRT, but feel that every little comment is aimed at me. I hate feeling like this and would gladly stay in the house to avoid all these feelings, it’s driving me mad. If it is HRT that causes this, does it settle once the tablets are in your sytem properly?Has anyone else felt like this while on HRT, and did it settle down.

oh my good who on earth does belinda think she is calling you a slutt when your asking a simple question about HRT get a life belinda or perhaps your the slutt here you sad sad person.
I am contemplating whether or not to start myself, and have been reading lots of pros and cons, and yes, irritability is one of the side effects. You may want to ask your doctor about adjusting your dosage.
I had to stop taking HRT. It caused me to become EXTREMELY depressed and suicidal. (everything in my life was fine, so there was no other reason) My doctor then put me on Prozac. I told him I didn’t want to take the anti depressant just to combat what the hormones were doing to me. He said I should, so I did for about 6 months. The Prozac made me have no feelings what-so-ever! In other words, when my kids did something not so good, I just didn’t really care and, when they did something Great, again I didn’t really care. Nothing really mattered to me one way or the other. I didn’t like feeling that way so I stopped taking both the HRT and the Prozac. I gradually reduced both meds (you cannot just stop suddenly – there are terrible side effects) and after a short time I was off both. Now, I just take an over the counter med, called: Black Cohosh Menopause Complex. It’s at WalMart, for about 10 bucks for a 1 month supply. It does help with hot flashes and night sweats and helps me sleep better. It has NO side effects, for me. Read the label if you decide to try it to make sure you’re not allergic to anything in it, if you decide to try it. Also, I have found that my weight has ALOT to do with the severity of my menopause symptoms. They become more severe when I am over weight. When I get down to the weight I should be, my symptoms COMPLETELY go away. I’ve been going through menopause for 10 years and every time my weight goes up, the symptoms come back. Good luck 🙂 Hope this helps.
