Driving a Smart Car is an experience. I compare it to driving a go-cart down the highway at 60 miles per hour. The difference is I feel much safer in the Smart Car. Mercedes really put some thought into the design of this vehicle. Safety and MPG were the two focus points of this vehicle. If you are large this is not the vehicle for you. This also is not the vehicle to take on long road trips. It is meant to travel to and from work and around town for errands.
The amenities that go with the Smart Car are long listed. Here is a list of some of the options; sunroof, AM/FM radio, CD player, MP3 connector, slapstick shifting, and convertible pull down, all great options. These options make the commute to work that much easier to do with the Smart Car. A full trunk was not an option though. Only two people can fit in the car. The Smart Car gets 45 mpg and is a zippy little car to drive down the road.
You will get looks while driving this vehicle. The cup holders are not in a easy spot (underneath the stereo under the dash) for use. The power windows are standard so is the automatic transmission. In all this is a smart buy and a smart vehicle. So if you are in the market for transportation to and from work that is economical, look at the Smart Car.
