The Doll with the Green Eyes

Coming to, Alyssa brushed her bound hands to her sore mouth and wondered if HE was gone. She’d wished she had gotten a good glance of him but she could tell he was massive. His breath smelled of liquor and cigarettes. His stubbly face touched her ear as he pulled the pillow case over her head from behind. The rumbling had stopped and she could hear crickets chirping outside. The end was near, she could feel it.

Alyssa, the pretty 19 year old, had spent the day at the mall with friends. After having dinner at Silo’s, she left earlier than the rest of the girls. It was already getting dark. With her bags and keys in her hand, Alyssa hopped over to her sportster. Beautifully blond and trim, Alyssa had done well for herself. She would be getting married later that year. She’d spent the last 4 months traveling. She went to Italy, Spain and France to play. Her blazing green eyes got many offers for marriage and she settled on one; Fabio. A racecar driver. Alyssa didn’t love him, but he had funds and with that she could learn to love. Putting her bags in the trunk, for a second, she felt as though she should turn back but in that same second, she became his prey.

Morris had been in his white work van since 6:30pm waiting in the parking lot people watching. A blonde woman walked by with her children, “Too risky” he thought as she fastened her son in his car seat. His mind floated back to his co-workers who were going to be spending Friday night with their wives or girlfriends. He had neither. 34 years hadn’t been kind to Morris. He had begun balding earlier than most and although tall, his weight had always been an issue. Born with a cleft palate, Morris became the brunt of many jokes growing up. If only he had a girlfriend, he thought it wouldn’t be so bad. He worked for a tire company, day in and day out making tires. His mother was elderly and his father long gone.

He had started the van as it was getting dark but he saw HER.

She looked like a Barbie with her blonde ponytail and perky breasts. Morris’ breath became shallow and he knew she would be the one. The one who would learn to love him and never leave his side. He would see to it.

As he wrapped his fingers around the blonde’s delicate neck he placed the pillow case over her head with the chloroform saturated on the front of it, she slumped into his arms. He quickly dragged her to the back of his waiting van and hastily threw her limp body inside. Her face hit the metal toolbox. Morris didn’t want to hurt her, he only wanted her as his girlfriend and then his wife. She’ll learn to love him but she couldn’t see him. He wouldn’t allow it.

Her eyes, beautiful greens orbs, would have to be taken out of the equation.
