The Best Urban Fantasy Novelist: Richelle Mead

Thinking of a favorite novelist is one of the hardest things to be asked to do because not only do you have to think about the person but also their work. I went with the first author that came to my mind and that is the lovely Richelle Mead. Richelle Mead is a best selling American Fantasy author. She has three degrees including a Masters in teaching; She taught eighth grade social studies and English and wrote in her spare time. She taught full-time until her first book Succubus Blues sold. Not long after that she quit teaching to be a full time writer. She writes so actively now that she has to turn in a new draft every three months. She is currently writing three series at the same time; as demanding as that is she is also married and just delivered her first baby.

I have not read every book she has written or every series but I have read The Vampire Academy series. Frost bite is my favorite book in The Vampire Academy series, Richelle Mead has mastered writing the perfect fight scene. Her books are incredibly addicting and will suck you in from the beginning.

Richelle Mead has written many books and they’re all sold internationally. She just recently made a spin off from one of her original series, Bloodlines is a spin off from The Vampire Academy. I just started reading Bloodlines and it has already captivated me.

The Reason Mrs.Richelle Mead is my favorite novelist is because she has a new draft out every three months. It takes the average novelist a year to write a book and it only takes Richelle Mead a few months. She is a force to be reckoned with and I can’t wait to finish reading her latest novel Bloodlines . Another reason is Richelle Mead is extremely nice, she gave me some great advice for becoming a writer and I will never forget that. She goes on book tours and book signings, sadly I have never gotten to go to any signings. Hopefully I’ll be able to meet Richelle Mead someday.
