The American eagle crying over New York’s
lower Manhattan. The World Trade Center
burning in the distance and the American
flag waving in the background.
It’s a symbol that tragedy has struck
the American soil and lets us know
that no one or nothing can hurt
the American people.
It’s a symbol that stands for freedom
and lets us know that we will fight for
what we believe and nobody can
take that away from us.
We stand United as one pulling together
and mourning the loss of our heroes
who died in the line of duty trying to save
everyone first before saving themselves.
Though we may have lost some of our best
firefighters and police officers along with
thousands of innocent lives, we are
all pulling together to get through
this tragic time.
So let me say this to all you terrorists who
may strike again- Our American
armed forces are being joined together
by the rest of the World to beat your
terrorist scams with our planes flying
high fully loaded and ready to fight
back against your every move.
Though the American eagle may shed a single
tear, it’s a tear that stands for freedom
and you won’t take that away.
