Son’s of Anarchy Season 4, Episode 2

Son’s of Anarchy is continuing to be nothing short of amazing. Each episode sucks me into their world further and further, this is worse than a soap opera. Clay and Jax went to meet with their new fire arms dealer Romeo (and to no surprise it was Danny Trujillo, you remember him from the Machete movie) and he seems to know his business. Upon them leaving the compound Jax and Clay had some words, it seems that Clay decided it was a good idea to go slinging some Coke to profit the club esponentially. Jax on the other hand did not find it such a great idea. Clay told him that his plan was to make as much money as he could as they don’t have a retirement account and he only has another year or two before his hands will not allow him to continue as normal. Jax ultimately gave in on the condition that when he steps down, Jax gets to step out without ramifications. He also wants to make Opie the new President of the club when that happens.

Once they arrived back at the clubhouse they held ‘Church’ to talk of the newest developments and to tell them they wanted a vote on the cocaine sales they are beginning to perform. Many members of the club are uneasy about this and it is beginning to show. It seems that Tigg and Bobby don’t quite understand the motiff of Clay to want to push this through and it is seeming more and more that they are starting to feel the strain of the club’s problems. For one thing they don’t have the local law enforcement on the payroll anymore. Unser now is a minor staple at the clubhouse and is seen quite frequently there.

Jax took off with Opie early on and things as usual didn’t go smoothly for the pair. While they were traveling they were caught off guard by some Russians looking for retribution for the killing of their associates at Opie’s wedding as they had just been found that morning at the site of the new developments in town. It seems Hale knows it was them only there is no proof of that as the officers that had been stationed at the wedding never heard anything, and never saw anyone leaving. The Russians demanded their guns for the lives of Opie and Jax. In the end it was Romeo and his associates who helped them out of that sticky situation. While they were awaiting Clay and the clan to come to their rescue, Sherriff Roosevelt had other things in mind. He came to the clubhouse with what seemed like an army, and the fire department. He messed the clubhouse up pretty bad and made it quite clear things were not as they used to be.

Once they were rescued, the whole clan returned to the clubhouse. Jax and Opie seemed visibally upset. It seemed that the time was right so, Tara told everyone of their engagement. Everyone had a drink for the occasion. Gemma and Unser now have their reasons for being suspicious since Gemma found the note from Maureen Ashby who had been a lover to his father, and it had produced a daughter. That caused her to start searching for the mysterious letters she had sent back with Jax with the intention of information for him about his father. Since they had all been locked up for 14 months Tara had been doing some investigating of her own, and Jax had no idea.Gemma searched the house not finding anything until she went to Tara’s office. She read a few of the letters but Tara came back too soon.

A few things are intriguing to me. First of all will we ever solve the mystery of what happend to John Teller? And if we do what will Jax do to his mother and step father who at least it seems had a part in his death. Who will be the one to spill the beans, will it be Maureen Ashby through the letters she sent back to America, will it be Unser, or is Tara really that good of a detective? It is all kind of up in the air. One thing for sure is that this season is spicing up to be a good one.
