Saint Patrick’s Day Memories

I remember way back in kindergarten, all the way through high school, where the kids would pinch others that were not wearing green. Some times the class would throw a Saint Patrick’s day party where there would be cookies and cupcakes and all sorts of goodies to eat. We sometimes even brought a goody bag home from school filled with cookies and candy and stickers and all sorts of stuff.

At home we would go to my sister’s house and have a dinner and spend time with the family and some more pinching would go on over there if we were not wearing green. A particular time I remember was when my brother was married to his ex wife, we’d go over there one year and she made all sorts of green food and I guess she used food dye to make the food green.

As I got older I really didn’t care about any kind of Saint Patrick’s Traditions. All I cared about was spending time with family and socializing with them, and listening to music. My twin nephews dad had a stereo where you can plug in your computer or phone to it which made the music louder. Some time the grown ups would have a little bit of alcohol to drink while celebrating, and we would also go down stairs and watch movies together as a family.
