This movie is not what I expected. I watched the first Apollo movie, Apollo 13. From what I understood Apollo 13 was based off of actual events. This movie Apollo 18 is just a shocker in my opinion. It reminds me of another movie “The Blair Witch Project”. Apollo 18 starts out like a documentary showing footage of the astronauts that will be going on the mission to the moon. The movie is a little bit slow in the beginning but if you pay attention, you will notice that things are happening around them. Just like “The Blair Witch Project” you do not see what is going to happen to them until it is too late for the astronauts to do anything about it. I did not like this movie. I am not saying this because it looks like a documentary. I just did not like the slow pace from the beginning. I want to say that the footage that is being used in the movie is the actually footage of the astronauts that went to the moon for this mission. Of course, I can not tell you the ending of the movie but what I can say if you enjoyed “The Blair Witch Project” then chances are you will like this movie. This movie does have a storyline. Whether you believe or don’t believe this is what actually happen on the moon when Apollo 18 went there, this movie does make you think. Would I say this is a scary movie, for me it was but for those who like watching scary movies maybe it is not enough horror in it to satisfy your deserves.
