ST. LOUIS RAMS VS. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES:

Sam Bradford: SIT HIM: No one is higher on Bradford than I am this season but this is a brutal first start for the kid,. He has to stare at not one but THREE Pro Bowl CB’s in Asante Samuel, Nnamdi Asomouga, and Domonique Cromartie, not to mention a Trent Cole led pass rush. Bradford will put up big numbers this season but not today.

Steven Jackson: START HIM: The Eagles are loaded up front with big bodies and so Jackson could find the going tough. However Bradford will be looking his way often out of the backfield due to the rush and the lockdown CB’s in the secondary so he should do much better in PPR leagues. Tough call here but he should do enough to warrant a start if you dont have a good third back.

Mike-Sims Walker: SIT HIM: Walker will be going up against Asomouga and so you know what needs to be done there. Overall I like his chances of being one of the better slepeers in the game as Bradford’s new go-to-guy but not in this game.

Danny Amendola: SIT HIM: Amendola will play the Wes Welker role this season which means you could threaten the 90-catch mark. You have to think Samuel will be assigned to cover him which is not a good thing. Those in non-PPR shouldnt even glance here but even PPR forlks could find the going tough.

Lance Kendricks: START HIM: This is the one guy who could have a decent day for the Rams as the rookie has shown tremendous hands all preseason and the Eagles had trouble with tight ends last season. Bradford again will need a safety valve in this game and I think Kendricks will be the guy.

Josh Brown: SIT HIM: Brown has a very good leg but he doesnt figure to get many chances in this game.

Defense: SIT THEM: The Rams defense is looking up under the tutelage of Steve Spagnuolo but the Eagles offense is as dynamic as they come and they will surely have their hands full with their weapons. Not this week.

Michael Vick: START HIM: Vick just has to stay on the field to unleash his ridiculous fantasy football stats but that has proven tough for the guy. The Rams have a pass rush but Vick obviously is the most skilled running QB maybe ever so he will be just fine. He should pick up right where he left off last season.

LeSean McCoy: START HIM: McCoy wil be getting more carries this season according to head coach Andy Reid and he deserves it. A pure gem in PPR leagues, McCoy can also run it with the best of them. Get him out there.

DeSean Jackson: START HIM: The Rams dont have any cornerback you could call a shutdown guy while the Eagles have three. Yeah so not fair. Jackson is a guy I cant stand both personally and in fantasy football. He is just way too up and down for me with his production. Still this is the type of matchup on a fast indoor track that could give you a big day.

Jeremy Macklin: START HIM: Macklin battles injuries this summer but he pronounced himself ready to go for Week 1. I like his potential as a solid all round receiver who will help in all formats and I am not too worried about rust in this game.

Brent Celek: SIT HIM: Vick claims that he will get Celek more involved in the offense but lets see it first before we start putting him out there. Celek has great hands but the prevalence of weapons in this offense could make things tough for him this season once again.

Alex Henery: START HIM: The kid hardly missed in college and he will get to kick in a dome for his debut. Sounds good.

Defense: START THEM: The Eagles defense is a must start against anyone all season long. The fact they have three standout CB’s is crazy and their pass rush is also good. Should be a big day.
