Three races to go in the chase for the Championship Battle for the Nascar Sprint Cup.
Tony Stewart is only eight points away from winning the championship. This is his third win in the chase for the Nascar Sprint Cup. Everyone thought that this race would be more chaotic because the track in Martinsville, Virginia is so narrow. When the top three racers were asked about the track size they said that this race track makes for much excitement. Martinsville is a narrow track to race on and causes a lot of pit stop and accidents, filling the race with chaos and excitement, which is what the fans want.
Tony is only eight points away from the lead. His confidence is amazing!

Tony’s says that Carl Edwards had better be worried because he is not going to have an easy three weeks. Carl Edwards, the points winner, says that it will be a real challenge to win this Sprint Cup!
Carl Edwards’s statement and Tony’s reply!
Carl says! “Tony, you are going to have to beat us!” Tony says, “I don’t care what he said! We are going after him for three weeks!” Tony goes on to say! “I don’t care what anyone says we are going to control our own destiny and we are going after it!” When asked how he won this race Tony said that He tried to keep Jimmy Johnson pinned down by staying right along side of him so that he would not have a chance to change positions. Tony went on to say! “Jimmy Johnson races people clean and we have respect for him because of it. The way Jimmy races show that he has tons of class!”
Tony makes a comeback after falling back into the 20’s
Tony won even after a pit stop thinking that he had a flat tire then fell back into the 20’s. His heart sank when he realized that he did not have a flat tire after all and had to use all his strategy to get back ahead and finally win. Tony did have fresher tires towards the end due to his last pit stop which could have contributed to his win. Tony says that he sees no problem with the tracks in the upcoming races!
Tony has not had a lot of success on tracks like this.
He kept falling back; making pit stops yet went on to win. Tony was not even in the game at the half mark battle back after a late caution but then went on to beat the best. This is a track that Tony really struggled with in the past and to come away with a win this time means that he and his team are a force to be reckoned with!
