More Energy Behind the Monitor

Sitting at the pc is something we do easy do, but sometimes we spend an awful a lot of time doing other things than what we had planned. There is always something more fun to do and we just want to do that before writing that schoolwork or other not so fun tasks. When you remember what you were suppose to do, you might be tired and all the energy you had just before you sat down is gone. Often the problem is not that your body is really tired, browsing websites or watching videos is not really exhausting. Your body can go into rest mode just like your computer, and you need to wake it up. There are some really easy ways; we have all heard most of them before. The problem however, is that we forget about them.

Sitting down proper is the easiest to forget, we often just make it as comfortably for us as we can. It doesn’t mean however it’s the best. Just like your old schoolteacher, I will tell you to sit up with a straight back. Do this and you will within moments feel more energy. Sitting proper makes your blood circulation work better and does wonders for your body.

Open a window and get some fresh air, something we tend to forget during cold seasons. The fresh air is great, but also many times it can just be to warm in the room. It’s nice to have it warm and cosy, but a warm room will make you tired. So let the cold fresh air in for a moment, and get some energy back.

Remember to drink and eat, not much work ever gets done on a hungry stomach. Drink water and eat proper food. Snacks, candy and the sugar filled stuff can be good energy boost for a short time, for the long run you need real food.

Another important factor for keeping your energy going is to have light in the room. It’s easy during the days often, but even there, make sure you let the sun shine in. How many have not got tired when someone wanted to show a half hour Power Point presentation in the dark? The light is a clock for our body, it reacts to the light. That is way you need to get the lights on during the evening or night if you don’t want to get tired fast.

Even better than just open the window or turn the lights on is often to just take a walk outside. It will get you all, better blood circulation, fresh air and sun light. It’s often a good way to get time to think over what you might need to do. If you get stuck on whatever you have to do, go for a walk, it will help more than you think.
