Kim Kardashian Proclaims “I Married for Love”

On November 1, 2011, a day after announcing her decision to file for divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian wrote a message to her fans on her blog website. In her message, Kim proclaims, “I’m being honest here and I hope you respect my courage because this isn’t easy to go through.” She goes on to write a heartfelt explanation to her supporters about her decision to file for divorce and to clear up reports that she made money from the wedding.

The Kardashian – Humphries union my have only lasted 72 days, but according to Kim, it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Kim says the following:

I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.

However, Kim does go on to refute the claims that her decision to marry Humphries was a sham by announcing “first and foremost I married for love.” She later says “Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul.” Evidently love just wasn’t enough to keep her marriage together.

Kim ends her message by apologizing to anyone that she might have hurt, i.e. Kris Humphries. “I never had the intention of hurting anybody and I accept full responsibility for my actions and decisions, and for taking everyone on this journey with me.” I wonder how Kris feels about this apology.

The only good thing to come out of this wedding and ultimate divorce is that Kim is donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.
