Jim Caviezel Celebrity Trivia

Recently I watched one of my favorite remakes of the classic tale, “The Count of Monte Cristo” on the Ovation television channel. This feature film from 2002 starred Jim Caviezel who at the time was relatively unknown. His face I had seen in other films. Now Caviezel is one of the stars of the hit TV series crime drama on CBS “Person of Interest.”

Besides his breakthrough role as Edmond Dantes turned Count he appeared as Jesus in the controversial “The Passion of the Christ” directed by Mel Gibson. Prior to those roles he had a significant part in an ensemble cast of the Academy Award nominated film “The Thin Red Line.” Caviezel also starred in “Frequency”, “Angel Eyes” opposite Jennifer Lopez and “Deja Vu” with Denzel Washington.

The Washington State native was born James Patrick Caviezel on September 26, 1968 into a devout Catholic family. He grew up in and around Seattle while dreaming of playing at the University of Washington and the NBA until a basketball injury sidelined him for good. That is when he turned to acting.
