How to Make Your Business Stand Out

The most common questions I hear, are about how business owners can get customers in their doors or what are the most effective ways to market your business. These types of questions have been around for centuries. Maybe they’re not worded the same, but the general issues are almost always the same.

I’m not going to delve into the specifics of any certain element. Instead, I want to get to the heart of the matter. I feel the heart is the right place to start, since everyone has their own heart to follow. That unique rhythmic pounding within the chest, the hidden percussion that holds everything together. After all, it does manage the blood flow within your body. If it can manage your blood flow, shouldn’t it make sense that it’ll also control your cash flow?

Your business isn’t a business without “u” in it. It really is that simple. So I’ll give you a checklist to get you started, questions to ask yourself.

-Why did I start this business? What was your motivation? (If your only answer is to make money, it may not be the right time to start a business.)
-What are you passionate about? (Literally think of everything you like to do in your personal time.)
-Who are my potential clients?
-What are their needs and wants?
-How can I fill their needs and wants?
-What can I do to ensure repeat customers?
-What are my customers passionate about?

The fact is your business has to fill a void within the community. Your products or services are providing legitimate answers to someone’s question. In most cases, you have to know you’re going to have competition. Someone else is out there with a similar product or service, so you know you’ve got to make yourself memorable.

That’s where your passions come into play. The public can feel your love. Believe me, love is contagious. Love is caring enough to share yourself with the community. What you give of yourself, you receive tenfold. Businesses that endear themselves to a community are unforgettable. When you’ve established yourself as unforgettable, you know you’ve created something meaningful. Not only to you, but to your community.

So if you want to break out from the rest of the crowd, it all comes down to you.
