How to Make Halloween Trick-or-Treat Bags

Because Portland likes to keep it classy, we don’t send our kids trick-or-treating with a pillow case. Making trick-or-treat bags is not only a fun project for a rainy day, but depending on the size of the bag that you select, it helps you limit the amount of candy and treats your kids will be getting on Halloween. If you have smaller kids, making a smaller trick-or-treat bag will make it easier for them to carry it around but will also allow for a more appropriate amount of candy to be given.

You Need:

Plain paper bag with handles Halloween Stickers Glitter-glue Markers Pick a side to decorate your Halloween trick-or-treat bag on. You can decorate both sides of the bag if you want, but it is up to you. Decorate your bag however you like. If your children are younger, it is advisable to use friendlier designs instead of scary ones. If you want, you can even pick a theme like a pumpkin or Frankenstein and color the bag instead of using stickers. Repeat the design on the opposite side of the bag if you wish. Write the year on the bottom of the bag. This will allow you to keep them as memories or to place them in a scrapbook to remember the holiday by.
