Whether you’re browsing on your computer or on a Netflix-ready device, it can be hard to find the best movies and TV shows on Netflix instant streaming. Fortunately, there are several websites where you can find up-to-date information about the best instant streaming content.
InstantWatcher.com
InstantWatcher.com maintains a frequently updated list of the best titles on Netflix instant streaming. There’s a list of the most popular movies and TV shows in the last 24 hours, a list of new and noteworthy titles and of notable titles that are expiring soon. Hover over the title links to see a complete description of the movie or TV show along with its Netflix rating. Since you don’t have to log into this site to see the descriptions, the site gives you the actual Netflix rating for each title rather than its “best guess” for you. Also included with certain titles is the Rotten Tomatoes rating. “Rotten” indicates that a lot of people have given a low rating to the movie or TV show. “Fresh” means that the title has received a high rating overall. In addition, certain titles are linked to their reviews in the New York Times.
Netflix Top 100
The Netflix website has a complete list of its 100 most popular DVD rentals. This list contains mainly blockbuster titles from the last few years. While only a few of these titles are available on instant streaming, they are clearly listed and frequently updated. You can easily add the titles to your instant queue by hovering over the blue “Play” button, then clicking “Add to Instant.”
Netflix Critics’ Picks
The Critics’ Picks page on Netflix contains a list of the movies and TV shows that have been rated the highest by professional critics. The general page shows several titles along with instant streaming or DVD availability. You can also browse picks by genre on the right hand side of the page. This section contains mainly classic and must-see movies and TV shows from the last few decades. Click “Next” to see additional titles in each genre.

StreamingSoon.com has an excellent up-to-date list of the movies and TV shows that are soon to appear on Netflix instant streaming. The description of the title along with its actual Netflix rating appears on the website below the title. Click the “Upcoming Best” link to see the best titles that will soon come to instant streaming on Netflix. You can click on the title links to go directly to the movie or TV show on the Netflix website. To add Netflix movies that will soon begin streaming, add the DVD or save the title in your queue. Then visit your queue later to add the title to your instant queue when the “Play” button appears. Make sure to keep these titles low in your DVD queue to avoid accidentally receiving them in the mail.
