If you’re teaching a group of ESL/EFL students that are studying English for business or management purposes, you’ll want to use these free conversation questions. They’re simple, flexible and enable students to speak about things such as management styles and the qualities of a good manager. Feel free to add your own questions and/or leave out the questions that don’t appeal to you.
What make a good manager? Have you ever been a manager of a team? What’s the most difficult thing about being a manager? Do you have what it takes to be a manager? Who makes a better manager, a male or female? Have you ever had a female and/or a male manager? What general tips would you give a manager to be a better manager? What is the one quality all managers must have in your opinion? If you didn’t get along with your manager for one reason or another, would you look for another job? Have you ever argued with your manager, and, what about? What type of management style do you prefer? Do you think different cultures/countries have different opinions on how managers should behave?
