Flash in the Pool

It was midnight when I heard a loud splash in the swimming pool. I was on the 5th floor of the hotel and peeped out from the balcony in curiosity. There was nothing even any ripples in the swimming pool. I wondered who it was that chucked something in the pool or plunged himself without even disturbing water? I strolled out of my apartment and came downstairs. I sat on the edge of the pool to see the cause of the disturbance or even know it. The splash again rang in my ears but I could not see anything there. I was a swimmer at school and had won the competition several times, I plunged into the pool where I though the sound was originating. It was the matter of my diving when the whole pool started revolving. I was in the whirlpool in the true sense. I was fearful but have not at my wits ends. I thought that I should close my eyes and o beneath the water to save myself from the whirls. I did so. I dived deep into the water and at once found myself in the bed of the pool. When I touched the ground it was not the floor of the pool. It was something very hot. I touched and burnt my fingers. I tried to jump at once up but my feet were bound with mounds of loads and stones. I was unable to open my eyes for a longer period as I was in water. I opened my eyes for a moment and shuddered to see a flash of light and fire. I was much frightened. It was a cold chill which grappled me and I felt sweat under my brows too in spite of being in water. I again tried to see the thing in the water. It was nothing but a light water proof light gleaming out the beams to lighten the pool. The splash was the hallucination of mine as I have just finished watching a horror movie on the TV.
