RICHFIELD, MN-Minnesota-based car repair shop Exhaust Pros incurred the wrath of a customer who felt jilted by their service yesterday and responded with a stunning, clever quip: “Exhaust Pros? More like Exhaust Amateurs, if you ask me!” customer Dale Branyan angrily shouted as he left their garage.
“I didn’t see that coming,” said Exhaust Pros mechanic Jose Guzman. “Exhaust Amateurs? Fuck, man. That hurts. That cut deep.” Guzman promptly went to his boss to ask for the rest of the day off to tend to his emotional stress. “Hearing our credibility undermined like that… I mean, we’re the Exhaust Pros. As in professionals. Now we’ve got a customer flippantly referring to us as amateurs? Cuts to the bone, man. I don’t know what to do with my life anymore.”
When told of the effect of his hurtful words, Branyan relished the chance to dole out more cutting remarks. “Oh believe me, I was being nice! Those Exhaust Amateurs were more like Exhaust Novices! Or Exhaust newbz! Or… wait, let me pull up thesaurus.com on my phone…”
Evidently, Branyan was unsatisfied with the repairs done to the exhaust system of his 1995 Toyota Camry. “He kept referring to the ‘Cadillac [sp: catalytic] converter’ and how it wasn’t done right,” said shop manager Greg Wickman. “I think he was expecting a Cadillac’s exhaust system to be installed onto his Toyota or something. I have no idea.”
Branyan meanwhile continued to walk home before crying himself to sleep.
