The forgotten child’s fort stands proudly in
the yard waiting for the children to come
and once again bravely slay the dragons,
and save the princesses. Oh! So much fun!
Before time took the innocence of youth.
Before the brave and noble children grew
and completely lost sight of childhood’s truth-
became adults, as children always do.
But more children were born, more adventures
lay in wait. New brave and noble children
saved new princesses and slew new dragons.
The fort enjoys the innocence of youth
