‘This is a men’s world’ and more than ever it is true that ‘it would be nothing without a woman’s heart.’ And while the world dances so erratically in despair and fear women get closer to kick us, the men, on the butt for the mess we bring upon society.
As the gurus say, are we men going from manly men to girly men? So, what does it take to be man? Most of my fellow men do not know. And I must admit I do not know. There’s a stereotyped male model that is dim to extinction; the provider, the man of the house, the one in charge, the manly man, etc. And for most modern societies this definition of man is vague and lacks practical application.
The image of muscles and macho type that contributed to the growth of a society is invalid now. The testosterone has caused so much destruction in our life, has dislocated our cultural and economic status, and definitely has weakened men’s position in society. And the disgruntled behaviour of men has also had nefarious consequences for women.
A mother advises her daughter,
“I do not care what your boyfriend says, it is a lie that the quickest way to a man’s heart if through fellatio.”

What in the past was macho conversations -the idea of women’s destined to be good in bed, in the kitchen, and housekeepers- turned into a thing of the past, stupidity at its best, and a potential jail sentence for harassment at its worse. Women have steadily gain a self sustained status of knowledgeable middle class. And at the same speed in which women are more independent, the families become more dependants of their income.
The territory of a men is shrinking. And regardless of men who work 24 hours a day, watch the kids, learn a new skill regularly, do the heavy work in the house, pay the bills, never let the children out of sight, let the wife kick their arses every now and then, etc., women are sceptical and conquer male territory at the speed of light.
In many big cities marrying a career woman is a common place and, however it may turn into a rocky marriage, often women earn much more than men. Often are more efficient than men. And often are better leaders than men, in the house and in the office.
Even if men reduce expenses by drinking cheap wine –in huge amount but wisely–, quit smoking, or try being an exemplar father, women are less impressed than they used to and many openly will say that it is too little too late.
Women gain more, and more, and more. And I think we should all be happy that is the case, because if women were demanding anything less than for men to behave, men could have already flush planet earth into oblivion.
So for what is worth, we should hope for more women leaders in more countries, and maybe, just maybe tyrants, rogue regimes, and chumps will be wipe out of society by women champs.
