Police in Senath, Mo., are looking for a white van in connection with the disappearance of 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez. According to KFVS-12 out of Cape Girardeau, authorities have few clues in the case of the girl’s disappearance but they are looking for a white van that was seen in the area.
Reports describe the van as being an older model white panel van without windows and with a ladder on the back that is used to access the roof. Anyone with information that can aid in the investigation is asked to call the FBI tip line at 1-866-371-TIPS, or contact the Senath Police Department or the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Breeann disappeared Saturday around noon while she was riding her bicycle outside of her home in Senath. According to reports, she was riding with her brother when her brother went inside for a short time. When he returned, both she and her bike were gone.
An AMBER Alert has not been issued in the case as yet, but a $45,000 reward is being offered for information about the disappearance.
Authorities have not released more details on the van or whether anyone actually saw the van near Breeann’s home at the time of her disappearance. Originally, a FOX News report stated that the family lives on a dead end street and no one on the street saw any suspicious vehicles. FOX reported authorities did interview a person of interest but later determined he/she had no involvement in the child’s disappearance.
This is a shocking event for this small town of about 1,600 located in the Missouri bootheel, which is nestled down between Arkansas and Tennessee, about 200 miles south of St. Louis.
Breeann was last seen wearing a pink shirt and pink shorts and wearing her dark hair in pigtails. The little girl is Hispanic, weighing about 30 pounds and was riding a pink bike with training wheels. Understandably, friends and family have searched the area tirelessly for any trace of the pre-schooler, but the lack of clues or information certainly makes it seem as though she has vanished into thin air.
Breeann’s parents have continued to search surrounding neighborhoods and fields for any sign of their daughter.
