Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Late Review

Everybody has their opinion on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. But as for mine I have mixed feelings about this one game. Usually for the Call of Duty series I was always pleased with the new releases of their games and their components such as map packs, perks, weapons, etc. But for myself, Modern Warfare 3 turned out to be a disappointment to me. But please don’t get me wrong, the campaign of Modern Warfare 3 was absolutely amazing! But as for their multiplayer, I would rather play Battlefield 3, which is a major competitor with Modern Warfare 3. However in their multiplayer of MW3, I especially love their new tweaks and new features as their support, assault and specialist strike package which is only term for kill streaks.
Moving on to Modern Warfare 3’s Maps and gameplay, the maps are absolutely enormous compared to those in Call of Duty’s previous game Black Ops. Another opinion of mine, is that each player has their advantage in different maps which their most beloved weapons, mine being the ACR 6.8 with the MP9 as my secondary. But as playing MW3 ever since it came out, I see plenty of people hiding out waiting for somebody to run by and for them to snipe that person. I believe the veteran to noob ratio has gone to favor with the noobs. But once again Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer isn’t so great however their campaign is absolutely amazing compared to their other Call of Duty series campaigns. The non stop action of their campaign had kept me playing for hours, always excited to see what happened next. I noticed while playing the MW3 campaign I had felt my drawn into it rather than other games.
With another component of MW3 called Call of Duty Elite it has made MW3 almost like a gaming social network. The integration of Call of Duty Elite allows you to be in an online clan, being in a group of people, studying what is your best map, what is your best/favorite gun, and much more. As a user of Elite, I recommend getting it, even if you don’t have the money to buy their paid subscription, just use their free subscription, as a PS3 user, I might not know if this is available for XBOX and PC users.
Another Con of Modern Warfare 3, is that there is no Zombie Mode! Instead we have the return of Spec Ops. In Zombie Mode is was a great thing to do to waste some time or to have some fun with friends. It was for everybody, noobs, veterans, anyone. But in Zombie Mode you can have 3-4 players at once but in Spec Ops, you can only have 2 players. This was a huge bummer but not a huge loss.
Now it comes to the big decision of either getting it for those who don’t have it yet or to continue/play the game. My solution to that ( my opinion) is …… YES! Even though the multiplayer isn’t so great, for others it might be horrible but if you get bored of multiplayer just play or re do the campaign or just play Spec Ops.
Now it comes to Battlefield 3 vs Modern Warfare 3, and the question here is which game is better? That my friend is an impossible question. We all have our different opinions, likes and dislikes. They are both modern day military shooters but they are very different, different maps, guns, gameplay, GUI, aims, customization, and much more. Battlefield 3 offers vast, strategic battlefields which are utterly gripping and visually pleasing, and let’s not forget the use of their vehicles, planes, tanks, etc in multiplayer and campaign. But Modern Warfare 3 offers thrills and packs a punch to the controversial first person shooter games. You can try both, or you can rely on you’re gaming instincts to which one is better.
Although there are pro’s and con’s to Modern Warfare 3, there will always be people which will love the game, hate the game or have mixed feelings. For myself, I have mixed feelings for this one game. However this is my opinion and I would like to know other people’s opinion. So if you can just write down your likes, dislikes, or opinions about Modern Warfare 3. Also you can comment on what you would like in the next Call of Duty.

Note: This review was based upon my time playing Modern Warfare 3 and throughout the questioning of multiple people playing Modern Warfare 3. (Sources: Me and friends)
