Avoid Over-styling and Over-processing

Too much styling and chemical processing can cause hair to become dry and brittle. Try to handle your hair as little as possible. When styling your hair be sure to use products that contain little or no alcohol as this can cause dryness.

To keep your hair hydrated, try to using a deep conditioner at least once a week. Examples of these are: hot oil conditioners, hair masks, olive oil treatment, or hair mayonnaise treatments. These conditioners are usually left on for 15 minutes and are a great way to add extra life to your hair.

Protect Your Hair from Heat

If you are trying to keep your hair moisturized you have to keep protection in mind. Avoid applying heat to your hair. Let your hair air dry whenever possible. If you must apply heat use lower settings, to avoid over drying. Also, when using heat be sure to coat your hair with protective sprays.

Eat Your Moisture
