Norwegian Wood – January 6th
Upon hearing The Beatles’ song “Norwegian Wood”, a Japanese man is sent back to his student years in 1960s Tokyo where he was torn between tragedy and two different women.

Iron Lady – January 13th
Meryl Streep stars as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the upcoming biopic The Iron Lady.

Newlyweds – January 13th
Remarkably shot in 12 days on a $9K budget, Edward Burns writes, directs, acts, and tackles modern romance in his new film Newlyweds. Burns’ latest tells the story of a newlywed couple whose married life is upended by the marital troubles of their own family members.

Sing Your Song – January 13th
From his role in the American Civil Rights Movement to the fighting apartheid, Harry Belafonte’s life has been defined by far more than his illustrious musical career. Since the 1960s The King of Calypso has devoted himself to protecting human rights with a tenacity and earnestness rarely seen in today’s celebrities. Director Susanne Rostock explores Belafonte’s remarkable career as an activist and shows how even in his 80s, Belafonte is still committed to social justice.

Crazy Horse – January 18th
Exalted as “the best nude dancing show in the world”, avant-garde cabaret Le Crazy Horse has been a Parisian landmark since it opened its doors in 1951. In his latest film Master Documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman goes behind the curtain to document the creation of Désirs, the exotic revue’s current show choreographed by Philippe Decouflé.

Miss Bala – January 20th

Carol Channing: Larger Than Life – January 20th

Coriolanus – January 20th
William Shakespeare’s revenge tragedy leaves Ancient Rome and gets a modern makeover in Ralph Fiennes’ directorial debut, Coriolanus. Fiennes directs and stars as Coriolanus, a revered Roman hero who is banished from his city when his political opponents successfully conspire to brand him a traitor. With the help of his former enemy, General Aufidius, Coriolanus embarks on a campaign of vengeance, determined to destroy Rome.

Albert Nobbs – January 27th
In order to escape her life of poverty, a woman defies Victorian Dublin’s rigid gender roles by disguising herself as a man named Albert Nobbs and working as a butler in a posh hotel. Albert’s (Glenn Close) double life takes a strange turn when she meets a handsome painter who has a secret of his own.

In Darkness – January 27th
Based on a true story, in the city of Lvov, sewage worker and part time burglar Leopold Socha agrees to shelter a group of Jewish refugees in Nazi-occupied Poland. However, what starts off as a cold business arrangement, gradually evolves into something much deeper.

Rampart – January 27th
Set in the late ’90s against the backdrop of Los Angeles’ infamous Rampart scandal, one of the largest police misconduct cases in US history, a dirty LAPD officer (Woody Harrelson) attempts to preserve his twisted notion of law enforcement and salvage his crumbling private life.

We Need to Talk About Kevin – January 27th
When a sociopathic teenager goes on a spree killing at his high school, his mother struggles to come to terms with the horrific act committed by her son and contemplates her own culpability for his shocking actions.

Declaration of War – January 27th
Based on the true story of Valerie Donzelli and Jeremie Elkaim, who wrote, directed and star in Declaration of War, a young couple struggles to stay together after their child is diagnosed with cancer.
