Wisconsin Dells has a lot to offer, but sometimes it is just nice to stay in one place. Fortunately, there are tons of water park resorts here, and many of them offer all you could want for your vacation.
One of the top places to visit is the Wilderness Resort and Hotel. They offer all types of lodging, including the main hotel, cabins, condos, lodges, villas, and even economy lodging. According to their website, they are “America’s Largest Water park Resort.” It doesn’t matter if you plan on visiting in summer or in winter because there are plenty of indoor water parks in addition to their outdoor parks. One of the resort’s best features is that water parks are open only to guests of the resort, and not the general public. Water is their biggest feature, but they offer great golfing, dining, and even a newly opened adventure ropes course as well. From my personal experience I even found that this hotel tends to be cheaper than some of their biggest competitors. Whether you have a party of two, or a party of twenty, everyone in every age group can find something great to do at the Wilderness. This resort has been my family’s No. 1 choice for years.
The Great Wolf Lodge has a lot to offer too. Water parks galore, a fitness room, themed guest suites, a spa for you, and even a spa for your kids. As a child I loved the Northern Lights Arcade, and since then it has only grown bigger and better. MagiQuest offers challenging puzzles for younger and older children alike. This resort is particularly good for younger children because it offers more than most- kids can participate in nature walks, watch shows with singing and dancing, and even enjoy story time.
If you’re coming from the South, you’ll easily spot this resort’s massive outdoor water park from the interstate. Kalahari Resort is one of my favorites because of its huge variety of water rides. Amenities here are great. Like the other two resorts, rooms are themed. Suites are clean, and all seem fairly new. You aren’t limited to use of the water park here either. Like the others there are indoor and outdoor water activities, but there is also a theme park, climbing wall, ropes course, an arcade, dining, and shopping. Like the Wilderness, this resort is appropriate for all ages, and all sized groups. If you can’t afford to stay at the hotel itself, you can always get daily admission to the water parks and theme park separately.
