Agency vs. independent adoption
An adoption is a loving act of unconditional love. A parent’s love knows no boundaries. The reasons for a parent giving up their child vary, but the main reason is to give the child a better life. It is a selfless act.
Adoption isn’t easy for anyone. It is one of the hardest decisions any parent can experience. Are you a soon-to-be parent who is looking into the option of giving up your child for adoption? There are some things you need to know before making this life-altering decision.

There are at least two legal options for adoptions. They are independent and agency adoption. Each agency has its own set of rules and guidelines for proceeding with the adoption.
Independent adoption –
In independent adoption, the natural parents have placed their baby up for an adoption with an agency. Facilitators of the agency will help you in the right direction.
Agency adoption –
A child is placed for an adoption by a public agency, which is responsible for the adoptions. This agency can be a privately run operation.
Children are the most important. Without them we would be nothing. Adoptions have two inner categories within these two adoptions. They could either be open or closed. With a closed adoption, you have no contact with the child. An open adoption is when you can bond with the child. This could be good or bad.
An adoption isn’t something to take lightly. It is a big decision and should be given a great deal of thought before making a life-changing decision. Do not rush into anything as serious as an adoption if you are not sure about it. Once the decision is finalized, you cannot turn the hands of the clock back. It is a life-altering decision. You cannot change your mind once the papers are finalized.
Parents need to do their research and look at all their options before making a decision. Both parents need to be aware of the adoption or it can be challenged later in court. Think long and hard about the option of an adoption.
